We are expecting another little one in January! We are 17 weeks along, and today we had our second ultrasound, during which the technician and doctor both agreed that the baby is a girl. (It’s still just a little early to be 100% certain.) She is a very active and lively little baby. Everything in the ultrasound looked great, and for now the due date remains January 8th, 2008.

As some of you may remember, Evan was sent to Doernbecher Neonatal Care Center in Portland after he was born due to some complications. These issues were completely studied and reviewed, and now our second pregnancy is being closely monitored. Part of today’s appointment included an amniocentesis to identify whether or not additional prenatal treatment might be necessary. The amnio went smoothly, and we should get the results in about three weeks.

We are excited and happy to be adding a little girl to our family!
