Today’s the day

Posted by Steve on December 18th, 2007

5:17 AM — We just checked in to the hospital for Jen’s C-section. Jen insisted on walking from the parking structure to the emergency room entrance. We’re in the Mom/Baby Unit, and they’re listening to the baby right now. Over the next couple hours, the nurse will be asking Jen lots of questions, getting her I.V. set up, and prepping her for surgery. As for Evan, he is home sleeping soundly (at least we hope, for Grandpa & Grandma’s sake!).

6:20 AM — Jen is pretty much ready to go. The surgery is scheduled for an hour from now. I’ll be heading down to get a little breakfast in about 10 minutes and to make a couple phone calls.

7:15 AM — They’ve just taken Jen away. I’m going to put on my gown and join her shortly. The time is here!
