Holy cow!
So I was on the REI page trying to sort out my account and the person helping me was named Jennifer S. (yes I know, too many “n”s and an outdated last initial but ANYWAY) so I thought, I wonder what Jen and Steve are up to? Couldn’t remember your address (real tough one huh?) but remembered “Zebras at Play” did a search for that, and saw “Holy Cow” there’s another name up there next to Gauss! Congratulations, that’s way too cool!

hi Steve — Thanks for all your comments on my blogs! This is great fun. I was especially interested in your comments about cheese: anything you can tell me about French cheeses in Eugene would interest me immensely. It seems like a pretty typical venue to use to pronounce on whether French cheeses are on the market in the US: neither too big nor too small.

Hi Steve and Jen — I just got your “traditional” Christmas card today with the darling picture of Evan. Thanks so much. I decided to take a look at the site again — it’s been a long time.
I’m not so sure we will be getting out many traditional cards, but I will send along our Christmas letter in an email. It’s the first time we’ve gotten that done in a long time either!
